SafeHaven Humane Society is a no kill, limited admission shelter in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Since 1974, we’ve provided compassionate care, adoption services, low-cost spay/neuter programs and community support to help every pet find a loving home. We rely entirely on donations and volunteers because together we can save lives and complete families. With an extensive Volunteer Program, Foster Care Program and Youth Programs, SafeHaven is truly working to help make the world a more humane space for animals in need through love and education.
Since opening our doors in 1999, the Schoolhouse Supplies mission remains the same: to promote educational equity in Portland area public schools by providing free school supplies to under-resourced students and classrooms. We do this because we believe that every child has the right to a quality education. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every child has access to learning tools that allow them to achieve academic success, regardless of their family’s income or racial/ethnic identity.
