Make an Impact
The Volunteer Expo is a pillar of The Standard's Employee Giving Campaign. This year-round initiative encourages employees to donate to support schools and nonprofit organizations.
The Standard and our parent organization Meiji Yasuda double match employee contributions. In 2024, we raised almost $6 million for 2,739 organizations during the Employee Giving Campaign.

The mission of The Family Room is to increase the likelihood that children living in foster care can be successfully reunited with their birth parents. Our program model offers a homelike visitation space within the community and increases both the quantity and quality of supervised time families spend together. The Family Room operates at multiple locations around the Portland Metro area. Our model partners with local faith communities for space, volunteers and meals.

From building robots and forts, to playing dress up in front of a green screen, kids learn social emotional skills while engaging with STEAM-focused education. FLIP is growing its locations and mobile museums to serve the entire Portland metro area, reaching those with means and those without. Visit the first museum in Hillsboro and soon in downtown Portland too.
