Streamlining GSI Benefit Increases

Starting May 1, 2023, we’re changing how we process benefit increases on Guaranteed Standard Issue Individual Disability Insurance policies in our system.

After reviewing a client’s census and determining eligible coverage changes, The Standard will process employer-paid increases automatically. This process is in line with the GSI IDI terms outlined in client offer letters. And benefit increases will no longer require client responses. Clients will notice a more efficient workflow that lets the benefit increases go into effect more quickly.

For clients wishing to decline any increases, they’ll still have a 10-day window to decline benefit changes.
