The Standard’s Volunteer Expo is Oregon’s largest gathering of nonprofits, volunteers and donors. Every fall, the Expo brings people together with organizations in one place to discover volunteer service and donation opportunities. The free event helps members of our community discover opportunities that fit their skills and interests.

The Volunteer Expo is a pillar of The Standard's Employee Giving 365. This year-round initiative encourages employees to donate to support schools and nonprofit organizations.

The Standard and our parent organization Meiji Yasuda double match employee contributions. In 2025, we raised $6.4 million for 2,630 organizations during our Employee Giving 365.

Integrative healthcare services, community and education

We offer programs such as comprehensive pain management, addiction counseling, HIV services, mental health therapy and medical care that integrate health and wellness. We believe people thrive when their physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs are effectively met. Our three primary service communities are low-income, people living with HIV and LGBTQIA2S+. We seek to provide a comfortable and honest space in which anyone can express themselves along the spectrum of gender and sexuality.
Ending domestic violence through gender-inclusive services and prevention education.

Raphael House is creating a future without domestic violence. Since 1977, our 24/7 emergency services — including confidential shelter and hotline — support families in imminent danger after fleeing abuse. Meanwhile, our ongoing services — focused on safe housing, financial empowerment, addiction recovery and holistic wellness — are a long-term resource. We couple these with Prevention Education in Portland Public high schools, teaching youth about equitable relationships and consent, while providing them confidential support.
