Letters for Inactive Appointments

Periodically, our team reviews producers’ state appointments. This process ensures our records stay up-to-date. It also helps us avoid unnecessary state appointment fees. In our recent review, we found that many producers have active state appointments where they haven’t sold business with us in the last 12 months.

Here’s Our Next Steps

We will begin terminating state appointments ― in compliance with each state’s appointment procedures ― for producers who haven’t sold any business in a state in the previous 12 months. Starting this week, impacted producers will receive notification letters of state appointment cancellations.

These terminations have no impact on commission payments or selling contracts. And, if a producer sells a product in that state again, we’ll simply reactive their state appointment that same day.*
