The Standard’s Volunteer Expo is Oregon’s largest gathering of nonprofits, volunteers and donors. Every fall, the Expo brings people together with organizations in one place to discover volunteer service and donation opportunities. The free event helps members of our community discover opportunities that fit their skills and interests.

The Volunteer Expo is a pillar of The Standard's Employee Giving 365. This year-round initiative encourages employees to donate to support schools and nonprofit organizations.

The Standard and our parent organization Meiji Yasuda double match employee contributions. In 2025, we raised $6.4 million for 2,630 organizations during our Employee Giving 365.

Sunshine Division provides immediate food assistance to individuals and families in need across the Portland metro area.
Sunstone Way creates a path to hope and housing.

Sunstone Way partners with participants to unlock a sustainable sense of home by providing shelter and wraparound support services to adults affected by chronic homelessness in Multnomah and Clackamas counties. Our six shelters include congregate, village, and motel shelters, including culturally-centric Weidler and Naito Villages. We help participants address personal and systemic barriers to getting housed with services such as behavioral health, case management, housing navigation, peer support, and ongoing retention services.
The Oregon and SW Washington Chapter of The ALS Association provides support and resources for people living with ALS, their families, and caregivers living in the State of Oregon and the six counties of Southwest Washington.
Since its inception in 2002, our local chapter of The ALS Association is the central source for services and education for people with ALS, their families, caregivers and health care professionals in all of Oregon and the six counties of SW Washington. The progression of ALS varies significantly from one person to another. Responding to each person’s individual needs, our local chapter is available to provide vital services and reliable information through strategic community partnerships.
