Cherie Long-Hardin, Esq.

Cherie is a former federal and state court litigator who owned and operated a law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, for 12 years before joining The Standard. For nearly five years, Cherie has served on the Claims & Litigation team, managing the company’s litigation and providing legal support to The Standard, its executive officers and its employee benefits claims organization.

Cherie also serves as the Claims & Litigation team’s subject matter expert for Individual Disability Insurance and as co-chair of the Retention Committee for The Standard’s employee resource group, the Black Employee Network.

Transitioning from the courtroom to an in-house role, Cherie brings diverse experience, strong business acumen and a deep understanding of delivering quality legal advice, developing legal strategy and managing risk for the business, internal stakeholders and external partners.
