Transition Projects' mission is helping people transition from homelessness to housing. We believe in a just community in which everyone has access to a safe, affordable home.
What We Do
Since 1969, Transition Projects has been a place where people with nowhere to go can find support. With more than five decades of experience providing shelter, housing and supportive services for very low-income people, we are recognized across the region for our work with veterans, women, people with disabilities and other highly vulnerable groups. In 2024 alone, nearly 900 people formerly experiencing homelessness found safe, affordable housing in the Portland metro area with our agency’s support. We’ve come a long way in 55 years!
