What We Do
SafeHaven Humane Society is a no kill, limited admission shelter in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Since 1974, we’ve provided compassionate care, adoption services, low-cost spay/neuter programs and community support to help every pet find a loving home. We rely entirely on donations and volunteers because together we can save lives and complete families. With an extensive Volunteer Program, Foster Care Program and Youth Programs, SafeHaven is truly working to help make the world a more humane space for animals in need through love and education.

At SafeHaven Humane Society, going the extra mile isn’t a slogan — it’s our standard. Our focus is simple: do more, reach farther and say “yes” when others can’t. Every day, we meet animals and families facing complicated circumstances. Some pets arrive sick with parvo, ringworm, upper respiratory infections or injuries requiring intensive care. Others come frightened or overlooked because they need more time, treatment or patience. Where some see barriers, we see responsibility. We lean in, mobilize our medical and behavioral resources, and give animals the second chance they deserve.
