Portland Rose Festival - Since 1907
Celebrating Community and Civic Pride Through Diverse Events

The Portland Rose Festival has inspired the public to gather and celebrate civic pride in the City of Roses for 118 years, demonstrating how our community can carry on traditions and celebrate unity through essential events.

What We Do

Part of Portland’s culture for more than a century, the Rose Festival roots in tradition while its programming is both contemporary and nostalgic. In 1907, city leaders started the festival to put Portland on the map for tourism and economic development. More than a hundred summers later, the Rose Festival continues serving as a community leader for celebrating values like volunteerism, patriotism and environmentalism. The Rose Festival aspires to make Portland a better place to live, work and play.
