Portland Rescue Mission

Portland Rescue Mission - Giving Hope. Restoring Life.
Giving Hope, Restoring Life

Since 1949, Portland Rescue Mission has been a beacon of compassion, love, and God’s grace to the community suffering from homelessness, addiction, and trauma. Rooted in this long-standing commitment, the PRM Transformation Model, our Christ-centered approach to addressing homelessness, guides individuals struggling with homelessness, addiction, and trauma from a life of crisis toward wholeness.

What We Do

The Old Town Burnside Shelter is the hub of our homeless services including hot meals, restrooms, showers, clothing, mail service and a variety of shelter programs. In NE Portland, we offer two faith-based, year-long residential recovery programs — for men at The Harbor and for women and children at Shepherd’s Door.
