What We Do

MIKE is a youth-focused health science education and disease prevention program that develops knowledge and social-emotional skills in underserved youth, cultivates personal and community engagement for health promotion, expands the number of diverse and culturally-competent health professionals, and prepares youth to be health advocates for themselves and future generations.

What We Need

  • Event Organizing
  • Fundraising/Campaigning
  • Mentoring/Youth Development

Opportunities

  • Virtual: Ongoing

We enrich school-based settings for upstream improvement in health and healthcare, managing school partnerships, program implementation, and evaluation. Our unique focus is youth mentorship to increase personal resilience, improve health literacy, prepare health advocates, and increase participation in a healthcare career pipeline.
