What We Do
In the Cascades Region, which covers the vast area of Oregon and Southwest Washington, approximately 2,600 volunteers provide response, relief and recovery services; save lives through health and safety training; provide assistance to active military members, their families and local veterans; and ensure we maintain a safe and stable blood supply for patients in need.

Each day, thousands of people – people just like you – provide compassionate care to those in need. Our network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world. We roll up our sleeves and donate time, money and blood. We learn or teach lifesaving skills so our communities can be better prepared when the need arises. We do this every day because the Red Cross is needed - every day. To learn more, visit redcross.org.
A big thank you to all the volunteers and donors who supported us in 2024. From blood shortages to wildfires, hurricanes and tornadoes, our team rose to every challenge.
