ALS Northwest

ALS Northwest
Fighting for a cure and helping people with ALS live their lives to the fullest.

To provide comprehensive support and advocacy for people with ALS and their families, while advancing research for new treatments and an end to ALS.

What We Do

ALS Northwest is the central source of services and education for people with ALS, their families and caregivers, and healthcare professionals in Oregon and Washington. Wraparound care services include home visits/case management; medical equipment and communication device loans and trainings; multidisciplinary ALS clinics; and support groups. We also provide support for family caregivers through training and bereavement services, as well as direct volunteer assistance that helps ease the burden for entire families.

Helping Hands Volunteer Program

ALS makes daily tasks much more challenging. To provide needed support, ALS Northwest created the Helping Hands volunteer program, which matches trained volunteers with people living with ALS. Through this program, volunteers assist with meals, pet care, yardwork and other errands while providing friendly companionship.
