Community Action

Community Action leads the way to eliminate conditions of poverty.

Community Action has been serving low-income families in Washington County since 1965. We serve over 26,000 people each year, providing services that are designed to assist low-income families in obtaining and maintaining self-sufficiency.

What We Do

Community Action has a long history of helping struggling families in times of financial hardship. Our programs are focused on four core areas: Emergency Assistance, Housing Stability, Early Childhood Development, and Family Development. We believe that when families are connected to the right services at the right time, we can help them find a path out of poverty.
