Special Opportunity for Members Making Big Life Changes

Members who experience a qualifying family status change event within the last 60 days have a special opportunity to apply for CTA-endorsed Disability and up to $400,000 of CTA-endorsed Life insurance1 without answering health questions.2 If they already have coverage with The Standard, this is their chance to increase or update their coverage levels.

Eligible Family Status Changes

  • Your marriage, divorce, or legal separation, or initiation or dissolution of your domestic partner relationship
  • The birth of your child
  • The adoption of a child by you
  • The death of your spouse/domestic partner and/or child
  • The commencement or termination of your spouse/domestic partner's employment
  • A change in employment from full-time to part-time by you or your spouse/domestic partner
