Few people are prepared for the sudden financial loss brought by an accidental death. And even fewer can be prepared financially for the high cost of living when an accident results in the loss of sight or a limb. Group Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance coverage may provide a benefit to you or your insured dependent for an accident that results in a covered loss.
Since everyone's needs are different, you can select an amount of protection you feel will best meet the needs of your family. Review below the AD&D coverage options that may be available to you.
If you are a member of SASS, you are eligible to purchase Voluntary AD&D. Your spouse and/or child(ren) are also eligible for coverage if you enroll. Before enrolling for Voluntary AD&D coverage, please review the Coverage Highlight and Certificate of Insurance for more information including costs, exclusions, limitations and reductions.
Once you are ready to enroll in Voluntary AD&D insurance, go to How to Enroll page for more information.
Members of SASS other than retired members or student or associate members of ACSA or ACCCA are also eligible for a $10,000 Association provided AD&D benefit amount. To learn more about the SASS paid AD&D Plan review the Brochure and the Certificate of Insurance.
Enrollment is not required for Association provided AD&D.
