Job Analysis Letter

What Is It? A one-page Job Analysis Letter, for review and approval by the attending physician, that describes the job duties and physical demands of an employee's regular position, or of a transitional duty position to be offered to the disabled employee

When to Use:
  • Include as part of a Transitional Duty Program packet provided to an employee who reports an illness or injury expected to last longer than three days (the packet also includes Employee Notification of Transitional Duty Program, Transitional Duty Program Description, Employee Q& A Handout, Attending Physician Notification Letter, and Attending Physician's Work Release Form)
  • Send to attending physician, with Attending Physician Job Approval Letter, to review and approve after identifying a potential transitional duty position consistent with the disabled employee's limitations
Other Depending upon the situation, you may choose not to take the additional step of obtaining approval by the attending physician before offering a transitional duty assignment to your employee
