Life Insurance with The Standard

NMRHCA provides a Basic Life insurance plan if you are an "eligible retiree" (as defined in NMSA 10-7C-4) who participates under the New Mexico Retiree Health Care Authority. You must be currently enrolled in any NMRHCA medical plan. The Basic Life plan is $6,000. This plan only applies to retirees who retired prior to 01/01/2012.

NMRHCA recognizes that individuals have different needs and has provided you the opportunity to apply for the right amount of protection for you and your family at competitive group rates. For eligible members currently enrolled and those not enrolled in any NMRHCA medical plan:

Additional Life may be elected among ten options beginning at $2,000 to a maximum of $60,000.

Dependents Life for your spouse may be elected among ten options beginning at $2,000 to a maximum of $60,000.

Dependents Life for your child(ren) may be elected among options of $2,500, $5,000, or $10,000.

You can find additional information in the Schedule of Insurance section of your Retiree Basic and Additional Life Booklet or the Life Insurance Certificate.
