Accident Insurance

Today, more than ever, you can't predict what will happen. But with Accident insurance, you can feel more prepared. Accident Insurance will pay a benefit directly to you if you have a covered accident. Use this money however you need it most — whether that's to help with your deductible, copay, other medical bills or everyday expenses. It pays you regardless of other coverage, so you choose how to spend it.

The way it works is simple. If you have an accident, submit a claim. Once we approve your claim, The Standard will send a check directly to you, not to your medical providers.

Accident insurance can also cover your family. It will pay an extra benefit if eligible kids are injured playing organized sports. Whether you're recovering from a broken arm or a serious car accident, this coverage can help keep your finances in good shape. So, you can focus on getting better.

What your benefit offers

There are 2 Accident plans available that provide 24 hour coverage for certain covered accidents. Please review the Accident Insurance benefit summary and certificate for details.

If you are a regular employee of State of Nevada PEBP and meet the eligibility requirements, you can protect yourself and your family by purchasing Accident Insurance coverage through The Standard. For your convenience, premiums can be deducted from your paycheck automatically. If you sign up now, you'll be protected later without having to give it a second thought. What's more, if you leave your employer, you can take your coverage with you.
