Support and Compassion for Our Clients and Communities

Hands holding a heart

The Standard is waiving certain administrative fees and contributing to community efforts to assist those affected by COVID-19.

Our thoughts continue to be with all those suffering from illness, worry and loss.

Since 1906 we have delivered on our promises — with empathy, service and stability. We remain steadfast in our desire to continue meeting the needs of our customers, partners and communities.

Within our retirement plans organization, we are working quickly and diligently to address the immediate financial challenges of plan participants. In addition to complying with the provisions of the CARES Act, we have committed to the following:

  • Waiving distribution and loan origination fees for COVID-19-affected participants through Aug. 31, 2020
  • Waiving CARES Act-related amendment fees for employers through Aug. 31, 2020, if The Standard prepares the amendment
  • Providing additional support, education and guidance to advisors, employers and plan participants

In addition, The Standard Charitable Foundation is contributing to several charities that are responding to virus-related needs. Our Chairman, President and CEO Greg Ness has said, In times of crisis, we are defined by how we react. Let’s continue to be defined by compassion.

As always, we appreciate the opportunity to work with you. Please contact us if we can be of any assistance to you or your clients.
