New Standardized Deadlines for In-Force Case Management

As noted in recent IDI Focus articles, we're improving our processes to speed up underwriting time and get you offers sooner. For example, we now use our entire in-force case management team to manage increase applications. While you can still reach out to your dedicated in-force case manager at any time, you may also work with a different case manager for specific increases.

We strive to provide a consistent experience on each case. To support that goal, we’ve standardized deadlines. Now you’ll get the same treatment, no matter whom you’re working with. With these changes, you can have clear expectations around:

  • How much time before an option exercise date you should submit completed increase applications
  • How quickly you must submit requested documents to the home office
  • What is required for each case to ensure the fastest possible time to decision
  • Communication about the status of your case

Your in-force case manager will reach out to you to discuss these changes. That way, you'll know what to expect and can help provide the same level of clarity to your producers.
