The GME Program offers medical residents and fellows income protection insurance on a guaranteed standard issue basis through select medical institutions. You and your producers can stand apart from the competition by providing income protection that is issued:

  • Regardless of gender and up to age 601
  • Without physical exams, labs, medical records or lengthy applications.

Sponsoring GME institutions must be approved American Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) programs with at least 300 residents or fellows completing training each year. There are approximately 190 qualifying institutions across the nation. We want to partner with you to capture more of the market.

Wondering how to spot a GME opportunity? Look for producers who are already successful selling IDI to residents and fellows at a specific institution. Producers with established relationships at an institution will be more likely to gain administration support for a GME program.

For more information, check out the GME Overview Flyer. It can help you introduce The Standard’s GME Program to GME institution administrators. For GME marketing and sales ideas, reach out to your regional director.
