Fast-Track Applications With TeleApp Point-of-Sale

Encourage your producers and advisors to use the TeleApp point-of-sale scheduling service to jumpstart the application and underwriting process. By calling to schedule the telephone interview while their client is still with them, the application process can be accelerated by up to four days, continuing the sales momentum and enabling quicker underwriting decisions.

When producers call LifePlans (the TeleApp vendor) using The Standard’s dedicated 800 number, they’ll save up to four days in the time it takes between when the order is placed and when the interview is actually conducted. Furthermore, a host of possible delays are avoided by scheduling at point-of-sale, such as time spent waiting for the producer to send the agency the application, the agency step of processing the application before contacting LifePlans, and also the potential back-and-forth calls to schedule the interview. Producers will know immediately that their client has the next step taken care of.

Please note: Since pre-interview prescription checks are now part of the application process, the Authorization to Obtain and Disclose Information must be signed and completed before scheduling the interview. LifePlans will confirm this as part of the scheduling call.

Producers should mark that the telephone interview has been scheduled on the Producer Information Report submitted with the application to ensure both the agency and The Standard know it has been completed. Additionally, it is critical that the applicant is prepared for the interview with a clear understanding of the information they will need to provide. Producers can help prepare clients by providing the TeleApp – What to Expect flyer that is included in the TeleApp IDI Application packet.
