End-of-Year Reminders

Keep an eye on these key dates to make sure all requirements are met for sales to count toward 2021 goals.

End-of-Year Commission Date

The year-end commission cutoff date is Dec. 28, 2021. We'll make every effort to place your business in force before this date. We'll pay commissions on policies placed in force after Dec. 28 during the mid-January 2022 commission cycle. See the 2022 commission calendar.

Policy Delivery Requirements

To help place IDI and GSI policies in force by the end of business on Dec. 28, please remember:

  • Delivery requirements must be complete and compliant.
  • We must receive the delivery requirements at our home office by noon Pacific on Dec. 28, 2021.

If we receive delivery requirements on Dec. 29 or 30 for policies with an effective date on or before Dec. 28, those policies will still count toward 2021 sales totals for agencies and producers. However, we’ll pay commissions on those policies in the mid-January 2021 pay cycle.

Policies With Requested Effective Dates of Dec. 29, 30 and 31

We'll place all fully underwritten policies with requested effective dates of Dec. 29, 30 or 31 in force with an effective date of Jan. 1, 2022, subject to the terms of the Policy Acceptance. Please contact your case manager or call 800.378.6058 (800.378.6057 in New York) if you'd like help determining policy effective dates.

Office Holiday Closures

The Standard will be closed Dec. 23-24 and Dec. 31, 2021.
