Reducing Potential Leaves With Workplace Possibilities

A Case Study

The City and County of Denver has over 14,000 employees across 40 different departments and agencies ranging from fire and police, community planning and development, transportation and infrastructure, plus many more. Due to the multitude of services provided — and the variety of skillsets required to staff these services — the employee mix of this regional government entity is incredibly diverse.

With employees working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, the City and County of Denver wanted to offer support while demonstrating genuine care and concern for their workers’ health and success.

By implementing and growing their disability management program, they hoped to prevent future leaves by helping employees stay at work or return to work sooner when needing support for a physical or behavioral health condition.
