Additional/Dependent Life Insurance

Your employer provides a basic amount of Life insurance that pays your loved ones a benefit if you pass away. But will that be enough? Fortunately, you have the opportunity to enroll in Additional Life insurance for you and your family.

You may elect Additional Life coverage in amounts of 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 times your annual earnings to a maximum of $1,000,000. You pay the full cost of your Additional Life coverage. To determine the cost of this insurance, please use the Premium Estimator.

If you are enrolled in Additional Life insurance, you may also elect Dependents Life insurance for your eligible spouse and child(ren). Spouse/domestic partner coverage cannot exceed 100% of your coverage. You pay the full cost of Additional Life coverage for your dependents.

Medical underwriting approval may be required for Additional Life coverage. Learn more by reading your Medical Underwriting Approval (Evidence of Insurability [EOI]) FAQ (English or Spanish).

Before enrolling please review the coverage highlights (English or Spanish) and the Life Certificate of Insurance for answers to commonly asked questions, costs, exclusions, limitations and reductions.
