The City of Los Angeles provides eligible employees with basic insurance coverage for Life, Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability through The Standard. During your enrollment period or after a qualifying life event, you may increase your coverage by purchasing Additional Life, Voluntary AD&D or Disability buy-up coverage.

New Employees

All Other Employees
All other employees may enroll during the annual enrollment period or within 30 days of a qualifying life event. To enroll, please log in to the enrollment site.
If you are already insured under an existing Life insurance plan, you may increase your existing Life insurance coverage during the annual enrollment period up to a certain amount without medical underwriting approval. Please see your Open Enrollment Guide for more detail.
