Meet the New IDI Sales Consultant Team

We’re excited to announce changes to our sales consultant team!

After a successful 25-year career of supporting Individual Disability Insurance distribution partners, Carol Marsh retired in October. We will greatly miss having her as part of our team but are excited for her and her family in this next chapter. We wish Carol the best in retirement. Additionally, Joe Boland has been promoted to manager, IDI sales operations. In Joe’s new role, the sales consultant team, including IDI and Guaranteed Standard Issue sales consultants, will report to Joe. Joe joined The Standard in 2020 as an IDI sales consultant and his prior industry experience included working for two of our agency partners. Joe’s deep IDI experience positions him well to lead our team of sales consultants. With these changes, we’ve hired two seasoned IDI professionals to replace Carol and Joe as IDI sales consultants.

Jenny Truman — IDI Sales Consultant

Jenny brings 16 years of IDI experience to The Standard. She has deep knowledge of the IDI industry, previously working as an account manager at one of our agency partners. Her firsthand knowledge of the agency experience will help her provide excellent support to our valued agency partners. Jenny will support agencies in the Western United States region.

Jenny lives in Kansas City and enjoys watching her son Jackson play college baseball and being a special-needs mom and advocate for her daughter Kate. She also enjoys traveling and wine tasting with her husband, Bryan.

Justin Harrison — IDI Sales Consultant

Justin also brings a wealth of industry experience to The Standard. He most recently worked with Principal, where he was an internal wholesaler for the past 13 years. His IDI expertise and relationships with many of our distribution partners will be a great addition to our team. Justin will support our distribution partners in the Eastern United States region.

Justin lives near Des Moines, Iowa, and is a sports fan who enjoys hunting, fishing, anything outdoors and spending time with his wife and three kids.
