IDI Discounts to Help Producers Sell

Make sure you and your producers are offering clients all available discounts on Platinum Advantage. We offer six discounts that you can combine for up to 50% off.

eApply Discount1

We recently introduced the eApply Discount that provides 5% off Platinum Advantage when applicants use both The Standard’s eApp and Electronic Medical Questionnaire. We know using online tools helps save time for your producers and clients. With quick fill-and-sign features and built-in checks, The Standard’s eApp and EMQ help applicants apply for individual disability insurance quickly and avoid time-consuming errors. With the eApply Discount, it’s a no-brainer to move all IDI applications online.

Preferred Occupation Discount

Give top clients an extra 20% off Platinum Advantage with the Preferred Occupation Discount.2 It’s available to many 5A occupations, such as executives and managers earning more than $75,000 a year, attorneys, licensed engineers and others.

Employer-Based Multi-Life Discount

Our Employer-Based Multi-Life Discount can help bring in multiple applications from a single source. Individuals working for the same employer are eligible for a 10% discount if three or more employees — or as few as two business owners — apply for Platinum Advantage within six months. This discount may also apply to contractors sharing a worksite.

Business Owner Discount

Qualifying business owners can receive a 10% discount on Platinum Advantage. To qualify, owners must own at least 20% of the business, employ at least one full-time equivalent employee and provide documentation to show two years of financial success. Certain occupations are excluded. See The Standard's IDI Product Guide for details.

Multi-Product Discount

You can offer a discount on Platinum Advantage to policyowners who apply for a Business Overhead Protector® or Business Equity ProtectorSM policy at the same time. To qualify for this 5% discount, the client must buy two or more policies concurrently. Use this discount to offer more value and help your clients protect their businesses as well as their incomes.

Residency Multi-Life Discount

The Residency Multi-Life Discount provides residents, interns and fellows at most Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, American Osteopathic Association and Commission on Dental Accreditation institutions a 15% discount on Platinum Advantage — up to six months following training completion. Make sure your client’s institution is eligible at the Residency Discount Institutions web page.

We're adjusting our Platinum Advantage rates and extending discounts to more states. These adjusted rates and discounts for The Standard’s fully underwritten Platinum Advantage product are now available in all states except South Carolina.
The Standard’s Electronic Medical Questionnaire is now available in all states except New York and South Carolina.
