StanCorp Financial Group, Inc. Declares Annual Cash Dividend; Extends Expiration of Share Repurchase Program

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Board of Directors of StanCorp Financial Group, Inc. (StanCorp) (NYSE:SFG) on November 3, 2008 declared an annual cash dividend of $0.75 per share, payable December 5, 2008, to shareholders of record on November 14, 2008. The annual cash dividend of $0.75 per share represents a 4% increase over last years dividend of $0.72 per share.

StanCorp also announced that its Board of Directors has extended the expiration date of the Companys share repurchase program to December 31, 2009. As of September 30, 2008, the Company had 0.9 million shares remaining under its repurchase program.
