Long Term Disability (LTD) insurance is designed to pay a monthly benefit to an employee who cannot work because of a covered illness or injury. Standard Insurance Company provides LTD insurance to eligible employees of companies through Printers' Disability Trust.

If an employee's LTD claim is approved by The Standard, LTD benefits become payable at the end of the benefit waiting period. No benefits are payable during the benefit waiting period. The monthly LTD benefit is based on the employee's earnings from his or her employer. Depending on the plan design you select for your employees, the amount of monthly LTD benefit can vary.

All LTD plans provide the following features and services.
