The State of Nevada provides a basic amount of Life insurance to help protect your loved ones in the event of your death. Since everyone's needs are different, the State of Nevada also provides you with the opportunity to apply for Voluntary Life insurance from Standard Insurance Company — a simple, easy way to further help protect your family. It allows you to apply for the additional coverage you need, with premiums deducted directly from your paycheck if you are an active employee. In certain circumstances, you may be required to provide satisfactory proof of evidence of insurability.

Basic Life Insurance

If you participate in the State of Nevada's PEBP–sponsored medical plan, the State provides you Basic Life insurance in the amount of $10,000. See the Life Insurance Certificate for more detailed information.
