To be eligible for Voluntary Life insurance you must:
Be a Member
Complete your Eligibility Waiting Period, and
Meet the requirements in Life Insurance and Active Work Provisions
Definition of Member:
You are a Member if you are one of the following:
An active employee of the Employer appointed half-time or more for more than six months in an eligible employee category; or
An active employee of the Employer in certain academic year classifications may be eligible if appointed for at least six (6) weighted teaching units or more for at least one semester or two or more consecutive quarter terms.
You are not a Member if you are:
A full-time member of the armed forces of any country; or
Insured under CIGNA group universal life insurance policy number 03-M101220
