The Standard is The CSU's insurance carrier for employer-paid Long Term Disability (LTD) insurance.
To be eligible for Employer paid LTD insurance you must:
Be a Member
Complete your Eligibility Waiting Period; and
Meet the requirements in Active Work Provisions and When Your Insurance Becomes Effective
Definition of Member:
You are a Member if you are a) an active employee of the Employer, b) a citizen or resident of the United States or Canada, and c) one of the following:
Appointed half-time or more for more than six months in an executive, management, supervisory, bargaining Unit 4, bargaining Unit 3 (excluding Faculty Early Retirement participants), or bargaining Unit 1 position; or
Appointed for at least six (6) weighted teaching units or more for at least one semester or two or more consecutive quarter terms in a lecturer or coach academic year position (Unit 3)
You are not a Member if you are:
A temporary or seasonal employee; or
A full-time member of the armed forces of any country
