Selling The Focused Growth Annuity 6
With Joint Ownership
By John Williams, CLU®, Regional Sales Director, The Standard
Today's bank CD and savings account interest rates don't compete well with current 6-year initial guaranteed annuity rates. As of April 2012, The Standard's top-selling Focused Growth Annuity 6 currently offers a 6-year guaranteed rate of 2.50 percent (>$100K) compared to the national average 1-year CD rate of 0.75 percent. The average bank savings account offers even lower returns.
Index Growth Annuity (IGA) Statement Tutorial
Our index annuities follow a different set of rules for statements compared to The Standard's other deferred contracts. One important difference the index annuity policyowner does not receive quarterly statements. Instead, we send an annual statement at the end of the index term. Below are the definitions of key differences on this statement and an example indicating their locations.
